Exploring changes and transitions in your 40’s and 50’s with Ty Powers

In this weekend workshop, Ty Powers will offer tools, practices, and principles that can help you. This workshop will be an opportunity for you to assess the primary areas of importance in your life and determine whether change is needed, develop options, clarify what conflicts are at play, and begin to identify your priorities and tasks. The workshop will emphasize making wise choices through clarification of your values.

We will also explore topics such as effectiveness and fulfillment in work, intimate relationships, self-esteem, money, doubts and insecurities, and life balance. Each day there will be presentations, self-assessments, small group discussions, personal inquiry, and participatory exercises. Ty will also lead guided meditations and mindful movement practices. The self-assessments are designed to allow you to gain clarity about where you are presently in life and to create a vision for yourself.

Sometimes we actively choose change and sometimes it arrives unexpectedly. Either way, all change is accompanied by concerns, fears, and questions, such as:

How do I know if making this change will make me happy?
Is this change meaningful?
How do I stay balanced in the face of uncertainty?
How do I know if I’m making the right decisions?
How can I stay true to myself during this transition?
Who am I anyway?

In addition we will focus on looking within versus dwelling on external circumstances. The goal is to offer tools and mindfulness techniques that will help participants build skill sets that will empower them to navigate their changes and transitions more skillfully. This ultimately brings about improved well-being, life balance, and sustainability, all of which are essential for effective leadership in one’s profession and personal life. Expect a weekend of self-exploration, self-inquiry, and ultimately, self-knowing.

Who is it for?

The content of the workshop is designed for people in their 40s and 50s. It focuses on the particular developmental and life stages of this age group. A maximum of participants may register so this will be an opportunity to be in a small group setting with Ty.
